Just One Letter for You

Wednesday 18 February 2009
I've been delaying this tag from my cousin, Phil a.k.a. Aning but I've to do it anyway :) So, what is the rule this time? I've to answer 19 Qs with my own answers that start with my initial - the letter M. Then again, all answers must be the truth, no lies. No using the same answer twice, no using my own name for the boy/girl questions and I've to tag 10 other people. Here goes!

1. What is your name: Margaretta
2. A four letter word: Mass
3. A boy's name: Murray
4. A girl's name: Muriel
5. An occupation: Maestro
6. A colour: Magenta
7. Something you wear: Masquerade Mask
8. A food: Madeleine
9. Something found in the bathroom: Menthol
10. A place: Mauritius
11. A reason for being late: Menses
12. Something you shout: Ma!
13. A movie title: Madea Goes to Jail
14. Something you drink: Milk
15. A musical group: Marie Digby
16. A street name: Melaka Baru 1/2 street
17. A type of car: Mercedes
18. A song title: Magic (by Sanna Nielsen)
19. A verb: Mew

And who are those lucky 10? Hmm no one, fortunately. Consider yourself tagged if you have time to waste on this :) Ciao!

Mine 'Tis Valentine?

Saturday 14 February 2009
I should be out today, celebrating Lovers' Day with, uh...no one special. No one special...then why am I so effing frustrated about it?

.
.

Nah, I'm not a bit frustrated - no, not at all. Depressed for being single? Nope. Missing someone terribly like goddamn hell? You bet! And I bet that someone knows I'm actually missing him...

*sigh*

My singleness apart, I had MassComm induction today with KOMED from 8.00am - 5.00 pm. Again, back home I used to hate this kind of stuff since I'd rather stick to the PC. However, now that I'm in Malacca and there's no 24 hours-streamyx connectivity, I had to attend it whether I like it or not, being a good university student who's willing to participate in campus activities (NOT!). Some random photos for you all at home:

Lolx my team - we were called "Para Para Purple" - other 3 are missing and of course, I was the one who took this shot - duh! We came in last because we didn't bother about the marks. We just know we should have fun today so fun we actually had.

Ma, I didn't eat breakfast. It was spicy so I just drank the grenadine instead =.=

From left to right: Ain & Ayu, Eliani & Shah. Ain is my classmate. Ayu is sweet. Eliani is bubbly and friendly. I like her. Shah is, well, she's nice I guess - I didn't get to know her enough for an entry. My apologies.

Anyss who is also my classmate, reminds me of Jef - in many ways hahaha. No offense but they're what I call metros :P Guys, I mean it good, okay ~

The English debaters - Noel (far left) is from UiTM KBM, Jef, Farah, Tina and Ash!

...and this is Becker, one of our MassComm seniors. Posting this up because he has a blog somewhere (I read it, okay? Seriously, he's cute but not THAT cute, mind you. I know what you're thinking when I say cute. Hmph!)

It was hot but it was also a fun, fun day - helped me to forget what happened last night. Oh yeah, as an induction tradition, we were bathed with sticky, gooey flour (+ water). Hell it was to wash my hair after that. Urgh! And my slacks ~ boohoohoo ~

Question of the day: How was your Valentine?

Friday 13th

Friday 13 February 2009
Dear all,

Let this be a lesson: "Yourself before others"

Again, just when I was being optimistic about humans, Reality slammed the door right in my face! That was harsh ~

Perhaps I've been too nice...

...or she just doesn't get it. Either way, I can't blame her if she wants to have fun. That's normal. Thing is, inform me or any other CSS at least if you're staying out for another few nights or so. Duh! Now, I don't blame her. It's merely culture shock - which is *cough cough* annoying enough. I don't know which part of the statement, "WE'RE WORRIED ABOUT YOU" that she doesn't understand. I'm not implying anything here. Hmmm ~

That said, I've no mood to elaborate on it. It's not worth it. I thought LG did her some good...oh well, it's not human to be completely invincible to temptations. Again, I don't blame her. I'm just annoyed.

Irritated.

Mad.

Now then, Mr Life, may I be cold as I was before? Can you please allow me to build up my defensive walls once again??

Sheesh ~ this kind of situation proves exactly why I hate mixing around with girls. Even if I do, I make sure I mix around those whose friendship is actually valuable in this life. Speaking of which, I miss Gurl, Audrey, LC and San2...

Life's funny, eh? You bet.

LG 2009

Monday 9 February 2009
MJCC Leadership Gathering 2009
Oasis Cannosian Retreat House, Kluang, Johor
6th - 8th February 2009

"JADIKANKU GEMBALA SEPERTIMU"

Those at home would know that I am not the kind of person who usually attend camps like this - for reasons unknown even to myself. This time, however, it was different.

When my seniors first mentioned about LG, I've no doubts (surprisingly) when I told them I'd go. I mean, I know myself. Leadership is really not a thing for me. I was never the one who'd gladly take in the position. I've always loved to work alone - yes, I do ask for help when the need arises but I'd still work alone.

Yet I told them I'd go.

Of which I have no regrets at all.

Being far away from home does affect me actually, no matter how I tried to mask it as I usually do. In campus, Christians are less than a percent here and we're not really bonded among ourselves (some, not all). Still, it was enough for me to stick on my grounds. At least, I'm very much in love with a bunch of my CSS seniors here :)

Throughout LG I've met some more Catholics and though most of them are Sarawakians, I must say, I feel so much better to meet other Sabahans. Come to think of it, I don't mix a lot with people back home but everything's different now - in a way that I tend to stick with my CSS group. Hey, Fr. Jojo and Br. Alvin were fun to have around! You don't want me to get started on the other participants because as far as I can remember, I haven't laughed as much as I did during LG since the day I came to Malacca (except when I was with my campus' CSS seniors). I don't know but maybe, just maybe, I tend to tease those who are really dear to me. Judging from my situation here, I don't think teasing is applicable in campus.

Generally.

LOLX. I'm getting out of topic here. On second thought, I don't think I am. It just concludes that LG meant a lot to me - being there with my 'family', of whose dos and don'ts I'm familiar with.

Also, sue me for the lack of photos but weirdly enough, on occasions like this I tend to lose hold of my camera and get more in touch with the event itself...*sigh*

LG was fun - with some more growing up (mentally, spiritually) in the process and a bit of a crush along the way...oops! Bummer. That shouldn't have happened.

Shhh!

By the way, happy birthday Ma! I love you so much ~

I'm Happy Enough

Tuesday 3 February 2009
As far as I can see it, I'd probably be happy enough to not procrastinate in campus :)

Truth to be told, there's something I wish to say to somebody but thankfully, this is a family blog so yeah, I can't. If I do, it would sound childish enough to actually think it matters (when it does matter) - there's a "You're out after the third strike" rule, right?

Do I want to rant on it?

...

.....

.......

..........

Nah, let's just forget about it. I'm in my usual indifferent mood with a little indignation. Why do people wonder if I'm isolating myself and avoiding others? Humans. It's the first time I've heard such a comment. Me isolating myself?

That's why I once said I've hundreds of acquaintances and only a few whom I really call my friends. I'm not being judgmental but these friends of mine, they've proven themselves well enough I just can't ignore them. I care for others as well.

The Golden Rule says, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

The Silver Rule says, "Don't do unto others as you wouldn't have others do unto you."

The Iron Rule says, "Don't let others do unto you what you wouldn't do to others."

I'm trying to be a friend to everyone else who comes across my path, especially those who have proven themselves. I won't judge but merely observe and the only one who can ask me whether I'm isolating myself is no one - because those who know me well know who I am, therefore they won't ask. Those who do ask, well, my apologies then.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Monday 2 February 2009
Dear Papa,

You've reached the big 6-0 this year but you're always so busy. You were and are always on the move. As you're aging I hope you won't get yourself overworked. Stay at home sometimes and get a rest because you deserve it after all those you've done for us. Take good care of your health.

I pray to our good Lord that He may keep you in good health and bless you with abundant grace now and in the years ahead. May He keeps you safe from harm. Much love from your daughter away from home :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PA! GOD BLESS :)

Sunday 1 February 2009

Miss me yet?

Sunday 1 February 2009
Bet you don't. Still, I've to keep my word. Sheesh!

So it's been a month (and approx. 6 days) since I've been living in campus. Nothing much happened - yet but I did have some fun touring around. Here's a recap of January in Malacca for you all back home .

Everything's New
A new year, new places to tire my feet for, new people to talk to, new room to lock myself in, new food to snort at - new everything. Somehow I find myself in Malacca city prior to the New Year. I was out with a few friends (with Lady and Jeff, actually - and two of Jeff's classmates). We had no idea of how exactly are we going to celebrate NY...since everyone seems to be on a tight budget.

*cough cough*
So guess what? We ended up queuing at McD, as if there was nothing else better to do . What a great way to celebrate NY, right? Well, at least I had my fill. I was damn hungry. And like the weary, evil mastermind I persuaded them to head back to the hotel to sleep. Zzzzz....I know they wanted to walk around. Hah!

Lalalalala I'm a window shopper, a miser when it comes to buying stuffs for myself. But I spent RM300 for office wear - just so I have something to wear to class since the ones I brought from home appears to be inappropriate. Bummer!

Long story short, Jeff introduced us to Noel, a Sabahan senior from KBM who became our unofficial tour guide for the day. We bumped into a few more UiTM seniors, two of them from my campus in Lendu - Aziff and Mak Su (Tina). I did take some photos walking around so here's a few for you guys:

[They're small - yes. Intentionally small. Pretend it's not.]

Jeff and Aziff talking about DSLR - which I'm supposed to buy in my 3rd semester *ahem*...

A short trishaw ride that costs us RM10. Suminakai zou miampai ii Jeff sabab kiwaa po songulun kusai ii okon ko tulun tokou. Nung sumakai zou miampai isio nga kiwaa mai boboroson tulun...koni?

From left to right: Mak Su, Noel, Aziff, Azril, Yot and Lady. Lady's from Telupid :) I think that's a python we're holding...

Here's a trivia: Which one is a Kadazan? Hehehe...

And ya, I was asked the silly question when I first came into the campus: Mantad ko Sabah? Oh...Songkuo di linaid nu nokoion id M'sia?

My answer was a blank stare. Nonggo mah Sabah id pomuandaman diolo ti...Ngo.
Haha I'm not that good in written Kadus and well, it's all rujak-rujak kan . My apologies for that but really, au zou moboos boos diolo. Paduli mah. Okon ko koiho zou nogi.
