Fragile

Saturday, 14 March 2009
Something happened today which kinda' hurts me yet thankfully I could still smile and say, "Let it go..."

...though in the end I sent G a text on what happened. Again, his words comfort me, even if they were sarcastic in a way...

Moreover, I keep having problems with my Blogger account although I now can surf Facebook pretty fast. Dammit! Thus, the absence of updates...

What a day!

Entry # 15

Monday, 9 March 2009
Ignore the title.

It's lent season and I missed Mass yesterday :( Ma didn't want me to board the bus alone. Pretty rational so no argument there. Nevertheless I went to the city to repair my glasses. And it effing costs me 500 ringgit! After a 100 ringgit discount, that is...Well, the optician gave me a free pair of contact lens which I AM SO NOT GONNA WEAR!

I went to DP/MP yesterday with my classmate, Mar for our Sociology assignment. It wasn't easy handing out the questionnaires. Maybe it's because I don't really feel like working with a partner...Mmm but to make up for it, I'll get it done today :D it's not really that hard ~

*sigh*

I miss my niece & nephew!!!

Planning to go to Alor Gajah later this afternoon. I wunna buy some KFC ~

CSS Dinner (LIFE-Organized)

Sunday, 8 March 2009
A dinner. So?

Well, this is the one dinner I actually have the heart to attend to. Why? It's a CSS dinner, that's why. Again, why? It's one of those times where I could spend time with my own folks, people who share a few common thoughts with me.

Back to the story, we left campus around 6.00++p.m. and it was raining then. I got sleepy in the car due to my no-glasses evening and the air-con. My head was already spinning. I've always love the fresh air so it's a no wonder why air-con makes me sleepy. Brr! I wonder how those office people could stand it everyday...I only love air-con when yours truly is fed up of the outdoor heat.

Rain, rain, go away, you're making me dream of my blankie back home! But MENTOS' always there to keep me fresh awake ~

Yadayadayada we so happened to arrive late by maybe half an hour...haha. Don and Alvin were already there. I was looking forward to meet Don because, well, he is my cousin and it's always a relief to be meeting someone you know better.

But I must say, for a 40 ringgit buffet, the food was.....not up to my standards. Hayatt @ Hyatt in KK offers a better buffet, seriously. Hmm ~

We had karaoke requests and some couples dancing, lucky draws and err...I don't know. There weren't much activities but it was fun nevertheless. And as usual, I snapped some photos :D Unfortunately, most of them are confidential by request. So there won't be much photos to share, I guess. My apologies to Gurl and Lc ~

Oh wait! Like any typical dinner, there's the most anticipated King and Queen of the night. Harry from UTeM was crowned King and our very own Rosa took home the Queen title.

(1) From left: Rosa, Harry (UTeM) and Avila. (2) Behind: Timothy Paul (UTeM)

(1) Avila, moi and Rosa wearing her crown. I love these two senior-sisters! Avila's very kind and Rosa, well, she reminds me of home :) (2) Female UiTM Lendu CSS members. Sasha's not in the picture tho' and we still have a few girls left behind in campus...love 'em all too!

And so, as the night comes to an end, we bid farewell to each other. Now, we never really expected some trouble in the making... A conflict with the guards when we arrived at the gate ~ oh well, Lord bless us. Hopes everything will be alright after this.

Gurl told me to have fun. Yeah, I did have fun. Hanging out with my CSS seniors reminds me of my roots...which reminds me too, I've another secret project to get done with.

It's still a secret 'cause I didn't tell you what it is, right? Right...and in this photo is Edrin, CMO from Johor. By the way, sia pinjam crown si Rosa skijap for the photo. Lawa koni? Hahahahaha ~ stop your assumptions wei! Hmmm but when I get *cough cough* married *cough* I want this kind of make-up. Ok ba kan, Gurl?

Haha LOLX! Dream on ~

The Big LOLX

Saturday, 7 March 2009
Fellows,

I'm going for the farewell dinner tonight - wish me luck in appearing crappy *cough cough* I'm gonna wear a dress and IT'S PINK!!! Now that's a statement, of which I do not know what it implies actually ~

Thus the big LOLX

*sigh*

I'm so not going to forgive myself...

March So Soon

Friday, 6 March 2009
Time does fly, doesn't it? Especially when you're missing home and everything about it...*sigh* At least I have my semester break to look forward to.

Reminiscing the past two months spent here in campus makes me feel like going home for good. I miss seeing Didun and Nyonnyon growing up. I miss arguing with my siblings over something silly in a rather, well, silly way. I miss my BFFS - Gurl, Audrey, San2 and LC ~ true enough, only around my family and friends can I really be myself.

Living in campus requires me to walk in a more matured image to save myself from going with the flow. I want to be like the salmons who swim against the river currents unlike fallen leaves who allow themselves to be washed away in the river flow, unable to go anywhere when large stones block their paths.

It's Lent season and how I miss tagging along with Ma, visiting houses in Tomui to pray the Station of the Cross. I miss going to church every Friday throughout the season for SotC. I miss the children I taught in Sunday school...I miss home, Ma, Pa and everything else.

Most of all, I miss him...maybe he knows, maybe he doesn't. Whichever it is, I miss the times I would argue with him - those times when he makes me feel like a little child who fell on the ground and hurt her knees and her parent would come around and comfort the little child in a warm, stern voice...aiiiii ~

Pretty emotional, huh?

I can't help it. So true it is that nothing feels like home.

Bottom line? I WANNA GO HOME *wails* WAHHHHH!

.....I haven't had steamboats for a while. Neither has the taste of vanilla ice-cream touched my drying tongue. How I miss home! Now I'm eternally grateful for the laptop and broadband :D hehehe ~

CO-Camping # DTML

DOWN THE MEMORY LANE

There was so much fun and as a prize, I got a broken pair of glasses! Hurrah - now I'm literally, officially, partially blind! Damn ~ Moral of the camping? DO NOT, NEVER EVER asks a person who wears glasses with a high degree like mine to go to camp, especially if that person is as clumsy as moi ~

CO-Camping # Part 2

Monday, 2 March 2009
27th February 2009

Slept at 4.00 a.m. Phoenix was assigned for sentry this morning with another group (I forgot the name, sorry guys). Ours was the 4.30 - 5.30 a.m. shift. Imagine that I slept for only half an hour! That would never happen if I was at home...

The day started with their morning prayer around 6.30 a.m. Then we had to line up for a quick march. Hmm. Booooring ~ I don't like marching. Breakfast was served after that and I must say, I got a special treatment. Now the whole camp knows I can't and won't eat spicy stuffs. Boohoohoo. So they had to leave out a few fried chicken pieces for me. Thank you all!

Now...where was I?

Oh, right...jungle trekking! This was the fun part. Seriously, it was.

From left: (1) I forgot what we were punished for. Here two members have to be on each side of the net. One of the pairs will try to pass 'injured' members to the other side. In this case, I decided that Melissa and I should do the passing because she's tall and I'm a bit heavier than the other girls. (2) Now watch this...

Oops! Hahaha ~ I slipped off the third pole and hit my gum on the cement...OUCH! Embarrassing? Nah! Painful? Yup...I had a bleeding gum thanks to the fall, although I didn't tell Phoenix that...

This, my friends, is what we call 'walking the munkee walk'! Bluff. That girl in the photo is Ka Su :D she's very capable of doing everything during jungle trekking. Hehe.

Ooh but there's more to the day...like getting ourselves muddy! Be proud of me 'cause I dare to step into the swamps (eeew!).

Hehe that's Fizi with me :) I am only 152cm tall so when my feet couldn't reach any bottom of the swamp, I panicked for a few seconds. Anysz was laughing at this moment because I wailed out his name ~ ba, biasalah, if Jef was there, I'd wailed out his. Hehe. You know what I mean...the other guys are too manly for me to ask for help from ~ Thanks ya Fizi! Then again, the swamp wasn't that deep. Silly me!

Note that as soon as each of us would come out from the swamp, we'll get our faces 'muddified'.

It was a short outing. We were supposed to go for 'Water Confident' this evening but it rained heavily + thunderstorm + flashing lightning so only one group had the opportunity to get wet in the lake. Tonight too, we had 'Malam Kebudayaan'...what Phoenix performed, I have no idea! All I know was that we did the 60's dance of some sort...our group came out as the best, which was kinda' unexpected. We had a little misunderstanding with our coach so we were feeling a bit down...

I must say, throughout the camping trip, I've learnt a few things.

CO-Camping # Part 1

Sunday, 1 March 2009
That's right, C.A.M.P.I.N.G.

I'm sure my family were laughing their heads off when they heard I'm going camping...who would have thought that Urod @ Yot would actually camp outside. Hah! Yeah ~ I surprised myself too. Me? Going camping? Hahaha ~ bummer.

It's not like I have any options. If I did, you really think I'd go for it? Duh ~ I had to if I want to get a good grade for my co-curriculum this semester. I've no damn intention to repeat it!

26th February 2009

Skipped IDA102 today. Waited for the bus at the KOOP...sent a few messages to G. He's been to Malacca once and it so happened he did jog around Hutan Rekreasi Ayer Keroh. It kinda' brings back the memories ~ okay, enough of that! We're talking camping here.

Anyways, when we arrived we were greeted with a cool, refreshing drink. Ah, it felt like ages since I've drink something that cold ~ you guys know how I love cold stuffs...despite the fact that it's unhealthy.

Knowing we were to be divided into groups, I (foolishly) prayed I'll be teamed up with Polan and Fir. I don't know why but I prayed and well, I guess Heaven loves me. It happened. And then Polan asked me if I could switch with one of their friends who just so happens to be in the same group my level mates were in.

I refused. Three reasons.

1. The coaches might get angry.
2. It's uncomfortable.
3. I've to gain experience, mix with others.

And poof! Voila! Everything changes there and then - no further elaboration - period.

Well...the only thing we did today was walking in the so-called jungle near midnight, blindfolded. It doesn't make any difference since they took off my glasses. I'm literally blind haha lolx. It was really fun though. You know that there's this rule that says you can't be too loud when you're walking among the trees, right? Or else the forest spirits might take a liking to you...hmm no one listened to that obviously.

One of the commanders who came with us was my senior roommate, Afida. I knew it was her who was poking my ear with a twig so there was a slip of tongue where I said I might slap her - oops! I don't mean it but it's really funny...I'm sure she was laughing. Come to think of it, she's been teasing me the whole time. Heh.

Oh! I almost forgot! Before we went night-walking, we had to design our group logo and decide on a motto:

If I'm not mistaken, I think it was FaliQ OM who drew the logo and iQah's hands were used for the hand prints...

Our logo was kinda' Indie - with a heart in the middle, a fire on top of it and angel wings. And then there were two muddy hand prints under the heart. This wacky group, ladies and gents was named Phoenix (supposedly meaning that we dare to 'die' and rise again). Well, I can see that in our members :D I'm just happy that there are other DMC1Es in our group: Danial, Polan and Fir. Anysz and Fizi were the PBSM members who tagged along with us tomorrow's activities.
